Any detective is a game with its own rules, so let’s start with specifying them. First and foremost, this list of online movies about crimes didn’t include the films that appeared in the last issues. We didn’t want to be repetitive, so we just decided to expand our list of movies about crimes (now, it includes about 80 titles).
Usually, the classic detectives prevail in this online category. These are the movies where a small circle of suspects is introduced from the very beginning, and the detective doesn’t even have to get off his ass to solve the riddle. The simplicity of the plot allows us to play the “investigation game” together with the detective.
Here you can also find films noir, where the only thing the detectives do is moving in space, and the investigation looks like a labyrinth. Only if you solve it, you can find a solution behind the cherished door. Actually, noir deserves a separate list, as well as giallo, where the plot revolves around sexual complexes that are hidden so deeply that the viewer can’t see them until the killer freaks out and takes off his mask.
